UBS Financial Services Regulatory Initiatives Manager in Weehawken, New Jersey

Your role:

This is a project management role within UBS Bank USA (BUSA), which is a Utah chartered, FDIC insured industrial bank. BUSA offers products and services to UBS Wealth Management US (WM US) Financial Advisors and their clients to help them meet their liquidity needs. The BUSA product offering includes: Residential Mortgages, Securities Backed Lending, Credit & Debit Cards, and FDIC insured Deposit products. BUSA is a wholly owned subsidiary of UBS' Intermediate Holding Company (IHC) and BUSA is regulated by the FDIC, the Utah Department of Financial Institutions (UDFI) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

The regulatory initiatives manager reports to the CAO of WM US Banking and will support BUSA in its efforts to execute on its strategic objectives with a focus on regulatory requirements and priorities. In addition, the role will be responsible for developing and maintaining key regulatory submissions (e.g. bank resolution plans - IDI).

This role will also evaluate the impact of regulatory developments, and coordinate across multiple groups (business product heads, technology, legal, risk, treasury, finance, etc.) to ensure relevant developments are operationalized as part of key initiatives' execution plans.

Key competencies and responsibilities include:

•\tCoordinate ongoing risk identification with front office product teams and second line control groups. Assess regulatory rule changes, gauge business impact, and translate key elements into implementable strategy

•\tProvide project management, coordination and governance for key strategic efforts across BUSA

•\tAttend and participate in regular BUSA meetings and committees

•\tHelp develop strategies that optimize the use of capital

•\tDevelop materials for various governance requirements including the BUSA Board of Directors

•\tGuide regulatory filings and submissions, including \"living wills\" and formal resolution plans

Your experience and skills:

Skills/ Qualifications (i.e. Years of experience, licenses, leadership skills):

•\tMinimum of 10 years' experience in Financial Services industry

•\tAbility to deliver quality results in a fast-paced deliverable oriented environment

•\t5 years of experience in a Bank or a Financial Services firm; prior experience in Risk Management is desired, particularly in areas involving regulatory change management.

•\tExperience managing large scale projects in Financial Services industry, including managing issues and risks, forecasting and managing budgets and expenses.

•\tExperience with the preparation and maintaining resolution plans is desired

•\tFamiliarity with recent and emerging regulatory standards (CFPB, Dodd-Frank)

•\tExperience with organizing and driving team members to develop model and process oriented documentations and presentations

•\tAbility to work with stakeholders in multiple time zones and virtual environment

•\tHigh-level of attention to detail

•\tAdvanced degree, or equivalent work experience, is a plus

•\tExcellent analytical skills

•\tStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders including Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Technology teams

•\tAble to conduct effective facilitation sessions with multiple stakeholders

•\tAbility to challenge and drive the business team to decisions
