UBS Financial Services Head of Vendor Management in Weehawken, New Jersey

Your role:

The Head of Vendor Management will provide strategic direction and support as it relates to external vendors and internal affiliates. This individual will ensure that all planning, processes, policies, governance and controls support the Bank's businesses in an efficient and effective manner. The role involves daily interaction with various BUSA & Banking Product support teams to help drive client experience, process and performance improvements.

The individual in this role is responsible for the following key functions:

  • Strategic oversight, guidance, sourcing, monitoring, governance and controls over external vendors and internal affiliates

  • Collaboration with business partners to source vendor solutions to current and new initiatives, in accordance with policies and procedures

  • Ensure vendor adherence to all heightened Operational and Regulatory standards

  • Champion adherence to UBS external & Internal Vendor Management Frameworks including the Outsourcing and Due Diligence Process

  • Performance Reporting - Monitoring vendor performance against critical and contractual service level agreements. Development of performance scorecards covering all key client experience milestones to ensure efficient and timely processing of mortgage loan applications

  • Collaboration with cross-functional internal and external teams to aid the design of new business products, processes and systems

  • Management of vendor budgets, monitor progress from a vendor and business initiative perspective

  • Ensure vendor disaster recovery plans are established, appropriate to UBS and maintained as required

  • Oversight of vendor operational risk, regulatory and compliance protocols

Your experience and skills:

  • Education – B.A / B.S college degree

  • Experience – 10+ years of U.S. Banking industry experience, preferably in a leadership capacity with an emphasis on regulatory risk framework

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational, negotiation and relationship skills

  • An expert problem-solver

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management

  • Able to produce professional presentations & reports

  • Ability to work without detailed direction on tactical items

  • Works well in a fast-paced environment under pressure

  • Able to prioritize and adapt to changing deadlines
