Your team:

Our team is responsible for maintaining the book of records for UBS. Being a critical application, it receives various feeds from regulators, clearing houses etc validates, processes them and stores the data for usage by other Wealth management applications.

Your experience and skills:

  1. Computer Science

a. Asymptotic notation for algorithm complexity

b. Familiarity with basic algorithms (Sorting, Searching, Trees, Graphs)

  1. Core Java

a. Basic java SE/EE knowledge (Generics, Type system, Serialization, JDBC, Servlets etc)

b. Java Memory Model (Multithreading, Garbage collection)

c. Collections framework (internal implementations, pros/cons)

d. 1.8 additions (Streams API, Lambdas, Optional etc)

e. Performance tuning tools (VisualVM, jProfiler etc)

a. ORM (Hibernate, JPA)

b. Spring family (Core, Spring Boot, MVC, Security, Integration)

c. Templating (Thymeleaf, Freemarker)
