  • support Global team within Group Finance Business Application Support (BAS)

  • take ownership for the resolution of all technical issues within the Group Finance suite of applications

  • provide clear and effective communication to Business and IT senior management

  • take a lead on automation opportunities and work with teams to deliver these initiatives in a timely manner within budgets

  • manage the full spectrum of Production Support responsibilities, based on the ITIL Framework: Incident and Problem Management, Release Management, Risk Management

  • demonstrate clear, calm and methodical thinking during major incident management

  • follow up with application development and infrastructure teams to track root causes for avoiding repeat production outages.

Your team:

You’ll be working in the Finance BAS (Business Application Support) team in Pune

This is a global team supporting a large number of Mission Critical and Critical applications for various streams within Finance.

One of the key strategic initiatives of this team involves automation of manual tasks and optimization of front to back monitoring.

The team operates follow-the-sun support model and is comprised of both UBS and vendor staff, located across the globe.

The team works closely with our development partners to ensure smooth transition of new applications to the production environment and to efficiently resolve issues that may arise.

Your experience and skills:

You have:

  • strong analytical and problem solving skills, technically competent

  • good experience in automation tools and technologies like SPLUNK, Automation Anywhere etc.

  • excellent communication skills - be able to portray complex technical and business problems in a clear and concise manner

  • proven experience of working in a challenging environment potentially with multiple concurrent issues, within an ITIL framework

  • technically proficient with Oracle, Informatica, SQL, Windows, UNIX etc.

You are:

  • a people person; demonstrable ability to collaborate with teams with conflicting priorities to ensure the best outcome for your stakeholders
