– Overall responsibility and leadership for the Global Data Center Services Operations team based in India

– Manages team of local resources including performance evaluations, staff changes, training and coaching

– Management of Managed Service Vendors and associated services that they support/provide

– Primary Data Center Services interface into the BSC Pune Technical Operations Center

– Capacity management and reporting for all UBS Data Center facilities.

– Demand management and reporting (forecasting)

– Production of monthly management metrics to provide current view of Data Center Services ability to accommodate new IT into each Data Center from a power/cooling/space perspective

– Management and co-ordination of Data Center power down/ up support activities

– Management of monthly audits on e-waste and disk wiping across our data centers

– Management of the Global Tape Media Reconciliation Process

– Management of the Global Data Center Inventory audit process and associated reporting

– Management of Global Data Center Access Management – Including pre-screened access approvals/reporting and usage, HPU tracking, reporting and usage.

– Management of Global Data Centers ICAP evidence capture and reporting

– One-off reporting and analysis as required by regional Data Center Services teams

– Propose and develop ways to further automate and streamline processes

Your team

The team is responsible for execution of monthly and quarterly mandatory reporting processes to support DCS on a global basis. Team also develops analyses and recommendations for future data center strategies. Other activities include capacity management and reporting, inventory management and reporting, and general reporting around risks, audits and key constraints within our data centers

Key activities include spreadsheet-based analysis of DC usage, measurement of operational metrics for Data Center SLAs & KPIs and building supply models in response to monthly business demand forecasts. The team also reviews on a monthly basis, Data Center access management, e-waste and disk wiping initiatives. Also accountable for site power down/up activities

Your experience and skills:

Experience in the management, coaching and mentoring of both employees and 3rd Party vendors

– Detailed knowledge of data center infrastructure and data center capacity management

– Familiar with Process Excellence concepts and have the ability to streamline processes and procedures

– Advanced analytical skills with the ability to analyze, organize and collect big data with accuracy

– use of MS Office 2010+ application suite

– knowledge of data analysis tools (Tableau, SAP BO, SNOW)

– a natural ability to solve complex issues

– a confident communicator that can explain technology to non-technical audiences

– capable of understanding client needs and translating this into products and services

– fluent in Business English and able to communicate clearly & effectively across all levels
