UBS Financial Services Thematic Investment Strategist in New York, New York

•Inspire new thematic research ideas and recommendations, including proactive communication with the global CIO team. These thematic ideas may cut across sectors and asset classes. A broad understanding of cross-sector and cross-asset class dynamics is a key skill set.
•Stay abreast of market and macroeconomic trends and developments and communicate thematic research views in a clear, concise manner to advisors and clients.
•Assist with authoring new thematic research content, including report writing and investment analysis. Coordinate on global whitepapers relating to thematic content.
•Oversee ongoing monitoring of thematic research recommendations, including performance measurement, report updates, stock list updates, tradesheet maintenance, and organization of the Thematic Investment Committee.
•Engage in marketing and promotion of thematic research through blog posts, podcasts, videos, and direct engagement with advisors and clients.

In the Americas, CIO Wealth Management Research includes a team of experts across all asset classes and sectors that perform both top-down and bottom-up fundamental analysis. The thematic strategist role requires communicating thematic research recommendations to a large network of financial advisors, internal partners and wealth management clients.
Your experience and skills:
•Minimum 3-5 years financial services/research experience.
•Knowledge of financial analysis, asset allocation, and macroeconomic concepts.
•Strong written and oral communication skills are a must, particularly the ability to formulate a compelling story from large amounts of data and analysis.
•Knowledge or interest in sustainable investing is desired but not required.
•Highly organized and ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
•Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a global team.
•Experience in equity or fixed income analysis a plus, including experience with Bloomberg and Factset.
•Series 7, 66, 86 & 87 required.
•A willingness to travel domestically, meet with advisors, internal partners and clients with the ability to deliver a common message.
•Exposure to financial advisors and high net worth clients helpful.
