.Compliance & Operational Risk Control
Compliance & Operational Risk Control (C&ORC) is part of the Group Risk Control function. Risk management and control are integral parts of UBS’ commitment to providing consistent, high quality returns to our shareholders. Our risk control approach seeks to limit the scope for adverse variations in earnings and in particular to protect UBS from the risk of severe loss, resulting from unlikely but plausible events arising from any of the material risks we face.
C&ORC aims to ensure that all compliance, conduct and operational risks are understood, owned and managed to the firm's risk appetite. C&ORC is responsible for providing independent oversight and control over the consequential risks arising from UBS’s business activities at a global, regional, divisional and entity level. Consequential risks represent the potential losses to which our businesses are exposed to as a result of being in business. This includes operational risk, which represents the losses UBS would suffer from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems, or from external events.
You'll work in the Americas C&ORC team in New York. This is a dynamic, driven and diverse team of professionals, with oversight responsibility for all aspects of compliance and operational risk control activities for the Americas region.
