UBS Financial Services Investment Bank - Credit Risk Policy Manager in New York, Connecticut
The role sits within the Credit Risk Control organization and the candidate will assist the Head of the IB Credit Risk Policy team with:
•\tDeveloping new and maintaining existing credit risk policies and supporting documents, in-line with the firm's business strategy and risk appetite, regulatory requirements and industry best practices
•\tFostering a consistent approach between the different businesses within the IB and serving as a key point of contact for various stakeholders within and outside of the Risk organization
•\tManaging the policy team's book of work, the approval / syndication process for policy updates, communicating material changes to impacted stakeholders and delivering training as required
•\tCoordinating with the firm-wide Governance & Policy team to conform with UBS' policy framework and any changes to group level policies
This is a senior level position with high visibility where the candidate must possess strong knowledge of credit risk management and the businesses of a global investment bank. It is critical that the candidate develop and maintain relationships with senior managers and various subject matter experts who will serve as policy owners, and key sources of input to the policy development and maintenance process. Must be comfortable working with senior management across the business (1st line of defense), Risk Control (2nd line of defense), as well as internal and external auditors (3rd line of defense).

As a member in the Investment Bank (\"IB\") Credit Risk Policy team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the policies and supporting documentation that sets the standards and procedures for all credit risk taking activities across UBS' Investment Bank, including commercial lending and counterparty credit.
Your experience and skills:
•\t7+ years of working experience in credit risk management (or a related area) at a major financial institution, with a significant track record in developing risk frameworks and processes (including risk identification, underwriting, analysis, rating, monitoring and reporting)
•\tThe candidate must be highly organized with experience in managing multiple projects and priorities
•\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills
•\tStrong product knowledge in the areas of Commercial Lending and Counterparty Credit Risk, including:
o\tAsset Based Lending
o\tReal Estate Lending
o\tImpaired Asset Management
o\tLending against Financial Collateral / Margin Lending
•\tExperience in writing policies and procedures
•\tKnowledge of market risk / trading book is a plus
