UBS Financial Services Liquidity Controller in Nashville, Tennessee

–analyze the daily balance sheet to understand the impact of any balance sheet issues on the US-LST and any other liquidity reporting
–investigate and establish the root cause of any issues with the US daily balance sheet and to propose the appropriate corrective action where an error has occurred (i.e. adjustments to upstream consumers or a journal)
–monitor and track issues coming out of the balance sheet analysis and connect to a program of work that remediates both tactically and strategically
–leverage analysis for the LST approach to adapt for where appropriate FINMA LCR and the 2052a reporting process. This includes an understanding of the impact of the month-end process on the daily Liquidity reporting.
–assist in the engagement and support of existing Liquidity remediation work to improve the Operating model and improve the accuracy and commentary of existing reporting.

You’ll be working in the Liquidity Financial Control team in Nashville. The team works in a Liquidity regulatory environment which is dynamic and is growing in terms of size and complexity, thus requiring a proactive, dynamic, innovative and motivated individual to join the team and to quickly take on the above responsibilities. To add maximum value, the role will also require an understanding of and contribution to the other functions of the wider Financial Control/Finance group. The team has a strong working relationship with Group Treasury, who is regarded as the primary partner/client. Other internal clients include Regulatory Reporting, IT, the Front Office, Operations and senior management.
Your experience and skills:
–a university degree in finance or accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles
–5+ years of accounting and control experience, preferably in financial services
–CPA or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory
–an understanding of liquidity and capital is an advantage, but not mandatory
–a strong communicator, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
–able to apply technical understanding to practical problems
–methodical, concise and accurate, with strong attention to detail
