UBS Financial Services Front Office Support Analyst in Mumbai, India

Your role:

–\twork closely with local front office Equity Trading and Sales teams and Operations teams

–\thave a high level of day to day interaction with colleagues at all levels

–\tidentify system problems and implement solutions with other teams

–\twork with different internal/external teams to manage special events such as BCP tests, infrastructure change weekends, data Centre maintenance, special trading days or exchange-mandated market rehearsals

–\tpromote the stability of the systems through system monitoring, proper change control management, and implementation of best practices

–\tconduct problem reviews with the relevant IT streams

–\tBuild and maintain the relationship with business managers in India business

–\twork with other infrastructure key stakeholders in order to cover front to back requirements.

–\trepresentation of local business requirements in global planning.

–\tcontinue to improve production support to improve stability and reduce system outages.

Your team:

You’ll be working in the 5-member team in Mumabi, as part of the APAC Emerging Markets organization. Our team is responsible for supporting a suite of trading and back-office suite of applications primarily used by the Equity Cash business. We are not only first point of contact for the end users, but also responsible for providing L1/L2 support of the application suite. Our team is complemented by subject matter experts in the hub locations (HongKong, Singapore & Pune)...

Your experience and skills:

You have:

–\tbachelor's degree (or equivalent)

–\tover 5+ years of experience in the global IT Finance or Banking Industry

–\tgood function knowledge and applications experience in equity trading and settlement in an Indian context.

–\tgood business knowledge cash equities, futures/options

–\tability to work under pressure and manage multiple, concurrent / conflicting priorities

–\tknowledge of ITIL incident and problem management

–\tunix and linux knowledge and practical working experience

–\tbasic knowledge in relational databases (Sybase, Oracle) / query (SQL) / Network (TCP/IP)

–\tknowledge of scripting languages such as Perl

–\tgood function knowledge and applications experience in equity trading and settlement in an Indian context.

–\tgood business knowledge cash equities, futures/options

–\tsolid technical and presentation skills

–\texperience in working with Global teams
