Your team:

You’ll be working in the GALM Secured Funding team in London. The Secured Funding IT team is part of the Investment Bank IT function and is responsible for a broad range of applications across Repo Trading, Inventory, Collateral Optimisation and Pricing. Our role is to develop IT applications to meet the immediate and future needs of the GALM business. The Secured Funding team is a talented, mature and supportive global team, distributed amongst UK, US, Poland and APAC with a mixed UBS FTE/vendor outsource model. The team is a complete functional delivery team consisting of developers, business analysts, SMEs, project managers, IT architects, scrum masters and QA.

Your expertise:

You have:

– Previous experience working within a banking environment.

– Good interpersonal and team working skills

– Knowledge of trading, risk management and back-office systems

– Previous experience on collateral management will be beneficial.

– Demonstrable experience of business analysis techniques.

– Demonstrable success within complex project environments.

– Proven ability to integrate well into a team and build relationships with senior stakeholders

– Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills

– Proven analytical and sceptical mind-set with an ability to develop solutions to technical problems.

– Ability to communicate requirements to software developers and application owners.

– Demonstrable experience examining and interpreting huge datasets, with knowledge of RDBMS principles and SQL.

– Demonstrable understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodology.

– Previous experience of working in a regulatory driven change environment.

Responsibilities:

– Support the analysis of operating models and assist in mapping target operating model.

– Ensure business requirements are captured, and when appropriate, adequately communicated to stakeholders.

– Working closely with stakeholders and SMEs' to identify and analyse business process and coordinate with developer for solution delivery.

– Facilitating collaborative workshops with SMEs' to capture business processes.

– Documenting processes with clearly developed process maps and process description according to defined standards.

You are:

– Educated to degree level

– passionate about supporting the development of IT systems and applications

– technically savvy with an appreciation for IT capability

– adaptable, able to work across cross functional teams and functions

– fluent in English
