Your role:

Are you an experienced quality assurance manager in a global organization with a good understanding of the banking business? In this position you will manage quality systems to cover the entire lifecycle of product development and commercialization in line with business strategy objectives and in collaboration with internal capability stakeholders.

We are looking for a personality to:

  • provide quality management leadership to an internal team and oversight of contract service and material providers

  • define and own an overall testing strategy / governance to cover multiple business and technology work streams across all phases.

  • managing daily / weekly status calls with stakeholders and business representatives with high management attention

  • liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels across the bank including international locations

  • understand the intricacies balancing end to end quality management with the competing priorities of delivery stakeholders

Your team:

You join a dynamic and motivated quality assurance engineering and management team, who are driving innovation and actualizing the quality assurance strategy while keeping the team inspired and engaged by developing a matrix organization. The quality assurance team is globally dispersed focused on helping UBS’s software delivery to achieve their full potential by enabling a rich and pervasive digital experiences that result in connecting business units, delighting end users, and accelerating the company’s digital transformation. The engineering and operations function within quality assurance are responsible to ensure the business has a seamless, stable and performant experience with their flexible and innovative software products.

Your experience and skills:

You have:

  • University degree or equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in an IT delivery environment and quality assurance and/or technology services environment. Excellent understanding of quality assurance frameworks

  • In-depth engineering skills, technical and architectural understanding with particular focus on quality technologies (service design and automation)

  • Significant quality engineering experience relating to testing services, excellent understanding of Capability management process, reliability/ Business Automation and monitoring and process and product delivery management

  • Sound understanding of service management and product life cycle management

  • Client focused and proven ability to motivate and challenge teams to strive to exceed client expectations and building collaborative partnerships

  • Excellent process understanding and delivery management skills

  • Budgeting/ finance understanding

You are:

  • fluent in written and verbal English and German (preferred),

  • experienced in test management tools, familiar with test data and test environment challenges and have sound testing methods knowledge across several software development approaches

  • able to communicate at all levels and with both business and technology staff

  • Open minded, eager to learn and self-motivated

  • Strategic thinker; strong conceptual capability
