The IMO team also fills the critical role to ensure trade booking practices adhere to pre-defined trade booking models, effectively acting as gateway into the Bank’s infrastructure.

o Manage Life cycle management related processes
o Monitor and improve where needed transaction flow into all consumers functions (Operations, Finance, Credit and market risk)
o Utilise and improve upon risk tools to deliver a daily PnL explanation and commentary
o Continuous enhancement of process in partnership with Risk and Finance
o Detailed/Robust Reconciliation process to support the validation of the T+1 PnL data before handing over to the Finance function
- The MO team also fills critical role to ensure trade booking practices adhere to pre-defined trade booking models, effectively acting as gateway into the Bank’s front-2-back infrastructure.

The overall IMO (Integrated Middle Office) team forms part of the wider Operations group within the UBS Investment bank. The group was created with the following mandates and functions:
- Ensure trade data integrity (completeness, accuracy and timeliness) – at capture point, T0. This mandate includes, but is not limited to, independent trade booking verification, ensuring consistency between FO blotters, risk management systems and third party trade representations,
Your experience and skills:
1- Middle office analyst, trading assistant, Product Control analyst or similar function, closely aligned to a/multiple trading desk/desks. In this capacity, the candidate will have experience and first hand knowledge Derivative trading, its products, pricing & associated risk attributes.
2- The candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding – practical and theoretical - of Derivative instruments, covering flow (e.g. Interest Rate Swaps, Swaptions, Total Return Swaps, Repo and Treasury instruments such as Tips, T-bonds and Futures).
3- Experience managing and analysing large amounts of data including, trade details, PnL attributes and adjustment details.
4- Depending on the level, experience as a trading assistant team leader is a plus.
5- Experience building and creating new reporting systems.
1- Strong analytical skills, the ability to pick complex issues, articulate the problem set and present recommendations are critical.
2- Cross functional reach – as the candidate will need to liaise across functions (Front Office, Finance, Market and Credit Risk, as well as Operations), the ability to navigate through vertical and horizontal layers of the organisation is essential.
3- Product/Process knowledge: the candidate throughout his experience will have developed in depth knowledge of derivatives instruments, from a number of angles: product specificities, understanding of the businesses associated to this products, as well as strong command of the relevant control framework.
4- Focus on delivery and impact: proven track record in delivering results and achieving targets, ability to work in a fast pace, trading environment
5- A strong working knowledge of Excel.
6- VBA Skills are not a requirement but preferred.
7- In this role the highest professional, ethical and legal standards will need to be maintained at all times.
8- Innovative approach to solving day-to-day process problems.
9- Control focused and experience of designing controls
10- Ability to network rapidly through the organisation in order to build and maintain effective relationships
11- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
