You'll be working in the Employment Legal - Americas team and be located in Nashville. We're responsible for all employment legal issues across all Americas locations and we support all the Business Divisions. So you can be working on something for the Investment Bank in New York in the morning and Wealth Management in Puerto Rico in the afternoon. You'll work within a regional team of lawyers (located in Nashville, New York, Stamford and Weehawken) and be part of a global team (located in Zurich, London and Hong Kong). You will report into the Head of Employment Legal, Americas.
Your experience and skills:
at least 5 years' experience managing employment legal issues, either in private practice or in-house
a law degree and are admitted to practice law in the U.S. (or ability to obtain admission)
experience working with senior stakeholders on sensitive matters
excellent technical skills, sound critical thinking, problem-solving and negotiating skills, with the ability to apply those skills to a wide range of HR, regulatory, tax and other issues
self-motivation and capability of delivering solution-oriented, firm but fair, pragmatic and risk-based advice
-background in compensation matters and ERISA benefit plans, strongly preferred
confident and authoritative with strong communication, advisory and negotiation skills
an expert at building networks and connections
commercial and business focused, with solid judgment
organized, hit deadlines and are comfortable managing a diverse case load in a dynamic legal environment
