act as lead portfolio manager on specific mandates as well as deputy portfolio manager on a number of mandates
monitor portfolios and maintain models to ensure compliance with the investment and risk guidelines
monitor and manage cash flows and currency positions, as well as monitor and attribute performance
monitor and analyse corporate actions and index changes
order generation including investment restriction verification and monitoring open orders
initiate and drive ongoing improvements of our management processes and proprietary portfolio management systems, in addition to other ad hoc project work

You will be working in the Systematic & Index Investments Team, part of UBS Asset Management, a business division of UBS. The team has experienced significant asset growth from our global client base over recent years and is responsible for managing a total AUM of CHF 198bn (as at 30th June 2017). We continue to execute plans for further expansion to strengthen our well established position in the market.
You will have a unique opportunity to work with our key experts, who manage quantitative, systematic and rules-driven strategies. Your experience and skills:
significant, recent experience managing direct investments into physically replicating equity index portfolios
experience of implementing trading strategies across global markets
an excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy under pressure
a strong academic background from a leading institution; numerical-based degree desirable
calm and accurate under pressure and able to manage and prioritise your workload effectively (a great multi-tasker)
ideally a holder of the IMC & CFA designation or equivalent qualification
a solution-oriented thinker, who can use their initiative and communicate confidently
fluent in English (a second language especially German would be an advantage)
an advanced user of Excel (VBA skills desirable)
